Dr Cormac Moore is an historian who also has a strong business background. He has a Bachelor’s of Commerce Degree (University College Dublin) as well as a Master’s Degree (University College Dublin) and PhD (De Montfort University, Leicester) in modern Irish history. 

He has worked as a consultant historian and has been contracted with Dublin City Council since 2017 on its very popular historian-in-residence programme. 

He has also worked in the recruitment and consulting industries (with multinationals such as IBM and Sun Microsystems, and for consulting companies such as IT Alliance, Janellis Global, Morgan McKinley and Eden Recruitment) since 1998, including establishing his own company Lionra Recruitment in 2016.

As director of History Link, he is currently working with companies in the Insurance, Healthcare, Aviation, FMCG and Confectionery industries on projects to celebrate their rich histories.

By utilising his history and business skills, he helps organisations by leveraging their rich histories to augment their brand and communication offerings, both internally and externally. He can help companies unearth their history in great detail and also link it to historical events that occurred during the company’s lifespan. He believes that sharing the history of a brand and a company is a great way to get buy-in and loyalty within and beyond organisations.
